We have four technicians that are trained to the same level as main dealership staff. They are fully qualified and have years of experience working with all makes, models and sizes of vehicle. This means that we can do car services on all vehicles, for a fraction of the cost of a main dealership.
We’re open six days a week, Monday to Saturday, to carry out vehicle services for our customers. We can do this while you wait or we can arrange to collect your car from you and return it when we’ve finished the work.
Our online booking system allows you to check the price of a car service for your car and choose an appointment time that is convenient for you. It’s easy to use and allows you check what each service level involves.
There are three levels of servicing – interim, full and major. It depends on your previous service and your mileage as to which one you require. If you’re not sure which one you need our staff are able to check and let you know what is needed. They’ll give you a price for the work and won’t start anything until you’ve approved it.
An interim service is the most basic level and covers the servicing of key components. We’ll change your engine oil, air filters and coolant fluid, as well as check your brakes and tyres. This type of service should be done every six months or 5,000 miles.
A full service is normally done at the same time as your MOT test as it is recommended annually. It covers all important components of your vehicle to make sure they’re in working order and at an MOT pass standard. This includes your battery, pollen filter, windscreen and brake fluid. This service should be done annually or every 12,000 miles.
A major service is done every two years or 24,000 miles and it covers the additional components which have a longer lifespan, including spark plugs and prop shaft. When you book a major service and MOT with us at the same time, we’ll do the MOT test for one penny.
At Swanley Garage Services, we only use original manufacturer parts or equivalent quality on your van or car. We’ll tailor our service schedules to your vehicle and check your manufacturer’s recommended service schedules along with your service history. We’ll make sure that all components are lubricants are checked and topped up and recommend when certain components will need changing for maximum performance.
